SleepingArrangements: The property sleeps 12 in beds; 6 in the main residence with a King Size in the master bedroom on the first floor and a Queen and two Twins in the bedrooms on the second floor. There is a Queen Size, two Twin mattresses and a Full-size sofa sleeper in the guest house, sleeping 6. There is additional bedding located in the upstairs closet at the top of the stairs.  Please be certain to leave any sheets and pillow cases you use in the main residence laundry room at check-out.

Linens & Towels:  Beach towels are located in the 1/2 bath downstairs next to the washer and dryer.  There are extra beach towels in the closet.Towels for showering are in each bathroom. Please remove all sand from towels and clothes before washing and wash the white towels separately.

Kitchen: The kitchen is very well stocked; there is ample dishware and glassware; with additional sets in the guesthouse.  There is also a coffee maker, espresso machine, blender and toaster located on the kitchen counter.

The Beach andBeach Toys: Lucky you, you have one of the widest, south-facing, sandy beach sweet spots at your doorstep.  There is a great surf break at Serena Point about 200 yards west of the property towards Santa Barbara. Beach toys are located toys in the wooden chest to the right as you enter the patio area.  Ice chests are located in the carport closet.

Parking:  Please park in the carport and/or in main driveway.  There is enough covered parking for 2 cars, with additional parking in gravel driveway; side-by-side or one in front of the other.

Trash: Trash bins are located in the fenced area across from the guest house.   Trash and recycling cans are labeled.  Trash pick-up is every Friday with recycling every other Friday.  Please break down all cardboard boxes,remove all of the trash from the home and do not leave any trash on the ground around the bins.  Please let us know in advance if you think you’ll need to schedule an additional trash pick-up service during your stay, we can do so for a flat fee of $75.00.

Laundry Room: The washer and dryer are located on the first floor next to the half bath just off the kitchen.   Laundry detergents are usually available but are not provided.  Feel free to use laundry detergents if any are available.

BBQ and Patio Area: The BBQ is located on the beachfront patio.  Please be sure to turn off the Propane tank when you leave, cover the BBQ and close the patio umbrellas.  If the Propane tank is low, the tank can be re-filled at the 76 Station located at 4401 Via Real, Carpinteria, 93013(805) 684-7676, less than one mile away. They are open 7 days a week.

Emergencies/Issues: Please contact the office at (805) 969-1122 for any issues related to your stay.  If you need medical assistance dial 911 from your mobile phone or contact the Carpinteria Police department at (805) 684-4561.

Cleaning Supplies: There are some cleaning supplies above the washer and dryer.  Spare paper products are in the cupboard left of the refrigerator.

Gas &Grocery: The nearest grocery store is Vons located at 850 Linden Ave., open from 6amto Midnight, 7 days a week. (805)684-1640. The nearest gas station is the 76 Station, located at 4401 Via Real,open from 5am to 11pm 7 days a week. (805) 684-1640.

Heating and Cooling: The easiest way to cool the house is to open the windows and enjoy the ocean breeze while the home does not have an A/C unit.  The thermostat for heating the home is located downstairs and there is a remote controlled gas fireplace as well.

Technology and Entertainment: The home has wireless Internet.  The home also features a wonderful television with cable and a BLU Ray DVD player.

Television Controls

1.    Press the POWER button for 3 sec. on the NXG Universal remote to turn on the TV

2.    Everything should power on after 10seconds.

3.    The DENON receiver should read “IN Aux1” for TV.  For IPod use, press the“Function” button on the DENON unit 2 times and press play on your IPod.  An RCA adapter may be required.

DVD/BLU Ray Controls:

1.    Press the “MAIN” button on the NXG Universal remote.

2.    Select “BLU” (press button for 2seconds) shown on screen of NXG remote and wait while the TV selects the correct input for the BLU Ray player.

3.    To open/close the DVD tray on the BLU Ray player select the “PROG” button located on the top of the NXG remote display.
